I love to fish and the winter is when I fish for Sauger (one of best eating fish IMO). Was rigging up a few Sauger jigs with trailers and I like to push trailer up to edge of jighead and put a drop of super glue on trailer head to keep it from slipping. Usually wear thin rubber gloves but not this time - I was just gonna rig up three. On third one, "stinger" hook snagged tube of super glue and gob of SG leaked on my finger. Luckily, only one finger but if there is a quick way to remove it, I am listening. Will not be playing guitar tonight.

There is acetone, although it's not the healthiest substance to get on your skin. JUst massaging some vegetable oil on it will help break the bond to the skin.

Superglue is moisture reactant...designed as surgical glue...a big glob is easier to get off than a small amt...but you have to do it right away...if you spill some on your skin just stick your hand or whatever under cold running water and rub it quickly...it sets up so fast you can just flake it off...you might try soaking it in some water, dish soap, a bit of oil as suggested...and next time just stick your hand in water right away and swish it around.

Thanks - no I do not have to get it off right away. But will wait until tomorrow before playing guitar

When I get superglue on my skin I just spend the next few days enjoying the task of peeling it all off.
This is where we totally need an "iagree" smiley!

OK, you conjured up a memory of getting a sunburn and slowly peeling off my skin for a week after. My girlfriend (now wife) used to enjoy peeling it off of me, too!

Of course, I now see a dermatologist for skin cancer, so in hindsight all that sun worshipping was not that bright...

Brings back memories, I spent summers on a lake growing up, outside everyday, and sunscreen was for sissy's. Boy was I wrong and stupid!

I had a spot on my cheek, that I thought I kept nicking when shaving. It came and then would go. In October my oldest daughter said "what's that spot on your cheek"? "You better have it checked". I did---basal cell carcinoma. Luckily 100% curable. Had MOHS surgery and it's gone.

I just got that diagnosis -- top of my ear. Growing up in SoCal has its drawbacks (but not many!). Mohs surgery recommended. Looks like I'll lose a chunk of my ear. There goes my modeling career.

Me, too - out on the lake all day in the summer! And I've had MOHS surgery three times now - being "wrong and stupid" regarding sunscreen was a common problem in those days.

Makes me cringe as I view that in my mind.
Noticably improved and thinking Thursday all back to normal.

Okay, super glue is really good to reattach skin and surgical glue does amazing work. I had some cancer excision on my forehead and thought, so? Big deal, little tiny spot on my forehead..... what's the big deal? Then I came out of the dermatologist and looked like this....

So GAD, you're a picker in more than one way? Me Too! For decades during Winter both of my index fingers and thumbs would have pealing skin. I use to joke about being part snake. I really didn't like using hand lotion; greasy hands weren't my thing so I'd just peel it.

Wow Tom! my Swingline doesn't have that many staples....WOOF! Good thing the Derm DR. was able to remove that skin cancer. I consider myself very fortunate thus far. I grew up on LI sound, less than 5 minute walk from the water, and spent every summer on the beach until I was 17 years old. I had brown skin and platinum blond air every summer. I get checked every year.
