So GAD, you're a picker in more than one way? Me Too! For decades during Winter both of my index fingers and thumbs would have pealing skin. I use to joke about being part snake. I really didn't like using hand lotion; greasy hands weren't my thing so I'd just peel it.

Wow Tom! my Swingline doesn't have that many staples....WOOF! Good thing the Derm DR. was able to remove that skin cancer. I consider myself very fortunate thus far. I grew up on LI sound, less than 5 minute walk from the water, and spent every summer on the beach until I was 17 years old. I had brown skin and platinum blond air every summer. I get checked every year.
Yeah, us sun worshipers are paying the price now!! Lucky they're able to do all this amazing stuff. That Fluorouracil precancerous ointment kinda wipes you out after, but then it helps to blister the scars off. So yeah... keep getting checked my friend. We're new friends, not ready to say goodbye yet, okay?? (y)(y)

Yah Tom, I feel the same about the new connection;)(y) I'm due in February for the Dermatologist scan just before my annual thawing out trip To Florida, when the SPF 50 comes out. Then there's another annual Dr. visit and "get a checkup from the neckup!":p

Okay, super glue is really good to reattach skin and surgical glue does amazing work. I had some cancer excision on my forehead and thought, so? Big deal, little tiny spot on my forehead..... what's the big deal? Then I came out of the dermatologist and looked like this....

I am not sure of what kind of music is your favorite but you have evidence of being a Metal Head.
Seriously, glad you didn't delay any longer.

Me, too - out on the lake all day in the summer! And I've had MOHS surgery three times now - being "wrong and stupid" regarding sunscreen was a common problem in those days.

Don't kick yourself. Hope the skin cancer doesn't cause you too much grief, walrus.

As a paddler, I've done my share of fiberglassing. Repeated exposure to resins, including superglue, can lead to severe allergic skin reaction. Avoid getting it on your skin is my advice.
