I have OG590, sticker filled out by the same person (as the OG looks a lot like a 06. It is a 1970 and I can say that the headstock serial number stamp is very faint.
It looks SO much like a six! That person must have done it on purpose to make the musicians of the future scratch their heads.

Here is mine. Along with its younger (1974) brother.

Very cool. I hope it's in good shape. Even if it's not, you can try it to get an idea if that is a model/year that you like. Keep us posted!
Update on this - I did have it delivered to my local GC and went and checked it out just now. Unfortunately clearly in need of a neck reset so I had to leave it. I’ll do that work for the right guitar but it would likely have been totaled in this case, or close to it. Oh well! Fairly painless.

Did you have to pay anything to have them bring it to your local GC?
I’ll have to check the refund. I assume they deducted the shipping cost which if I recall was $30.

That's what I'd guess. If that's all it was, well then well worth the trip!

Sorry that it wasn't right, but it won't be but a minute before the next D-25 comes along. Patience is a virtue! :)

Yup I just checked, it was actually $24 but they refunded me all the rest. It was also nice that the guy behind the counter was perfectly pleasant about processing the return.

Sorry that didn't work out Casey. It's frustrating GC don't show good pics of the guitars so buyers can identify issues like that before making a purchase. At least their return policy is straightforward.

It can definitely be frustrating. I've called about guitars before to the specific store where it's for sale and they are generally accommodating about sending more pics. Sometimes you even get somebody who knows about acoustic guitars but that's pretty rare lol.

Yeah I’ve found the same in the past, a call can do wonders if you get the right person on the phone.

To be honest, it seems to depend on where you are located and thus which store you work with. GC's been in big trouble for years now, and we've had our share of "complaints" here on LTG. But, like I said, it's nice to give some credit where it's due.

I bought my dual pick guard D-25 from a distant GC. I called the store and the tech called me back when he got in. He described all the measurements (action, saddle, etc.) and told me that if weren't a lefty, he'd buy it himself as it sounded so great. I had it sent 1,000 miles, and he had been right, it's a winner.
