Sorry to have posted my personal issues here.
I was compelled to do so due to my own sudden realization that those things we take for granted, some we always found quite simple, may suddenly become much harder.
LTG is a great escape for me. I check in fairly often and browse the for sale venues. I love reading everyone's posts. I hope GAD knows what a special site this is for us. It gets me "out of my head" for a while. Thank you all!
I have been almost exclusively a Guild player since my first, a S300 AD I purchased in the 1970s. I lived in Rhode Island most of my life, but even so Guilds were not a common guitar amongst most other players. So I was kind of unique.... Whenever I saw another Guild, especially if the player were famous, I'd feel as if they were playing MY guitar. They got it! Lol.
Anyway, a veer, but that has already happened I think!

This subject will always be a matter of subjective degree. One person thinks three is excess, another thirty. It is very age dependent. I'd advise not to get exclusively brand dependent. There are too many guitars out there and variety is good, and can be very good. There are a very many people out there that would be thrilled to own that guitar you haven't played in a year. Think of how that guy would show his friends the deal he just got from an old geezer from down the street. What your view of the matter is constantly changes, evolving as you go. Right now, I'm thinking of selling two or three to get the guitar I'll play as my hands deteriorate. I may not need it for a decade, but what I want may be too much then. Heck, it may be too much now.

And really, having one you love is really all you need.
