I see they left the signature stuff only on trc and cc which can be easily replaced if you aren't into that scene. Very considerate of Cordoba/Yamaha.

Were S-100's ever made stock with gold hardware? I am assuming all of Kim's were stock S-100's when he bought them.

I am guessing KT will get a small handfull of the USA Limited version, which will have gold hardware. Have never seen a vintage S-100 with gold hardware from the factory

The one Kim used some years ago had gold hardware and those logos. So I guess that is the model they used as the template for the reissues.

The Guild stock pictures as used by Heermusic have a ISG22 serial number, means that one was made at P.T. Samick in Cileungsi near Bogor, West Java, Indonesia in 2022.

The 950 CHF include 7.7% Swiss VAT.

Which is what, 70ish CHF?

The Starfire I SC made in Indonesia is $550 on Sweetwater with a MSRP of $649. Double that for a solidbody seems insane to me.

Hmm... Sweetwater shows the S100 (Korean) as unavailable. I've guessing they're replacing it with the Limited (Indonesian) which is $999 at Sweetwater?

This almost looks like a trend.

Agree. Pretty stiff. But, it's becoming par for the course lately... Plenty of $1200 MII ESP and Ibanez guitars out there already.
I was going to hit 'like,' but that wasn't the right thing. I agree with your statement, but that doesn't mean I like it.

$1,100 MSRP will get you a sub-$800 price at the big box stores, and a price around seven bills at a store where you're a good customer.

Or you can just wait for a used one to hit the market. I couldn't believe how fast used Surfliner Deluxes showed up for sale after the initial introduction.

nobody is going to pay $1,100 for an Indonesean S-100. At least nobody in the USA. I've seen the NS S-100 sit on shelves for years at 500-600

We don't have a lot of big names with signature edition Guilds to compare it to. Could create demand.

The gold hardware makes for a pretty unique look among the S-100s.
