I'm a little sick of this 2" of rain everyday. I'm not a houseplant - I don't need to be watered every day.
True, but I’ll take it over skipping spring and going right to summer days in April/May like was becoming the norm. The April showers bring May flowers is finally living up to it’s name. Plus it’s necessary for normal water tables and filled reservoirs, which has been a recent concern.

You probably aren't outside during it...

I can sympathize; I'm outside at least twice a day every day - even when there's a hurricane coming (gotta take care of our horses!). I'm more familiar than I care to be with too hot, too cold, too wet, and too dry and dusty. Oh, and too windy, and there's no breeze. (I'm a weather wimp - almost never happy! 😁).

I'm guessing you have to be out delivering mail? How long do you need to be out?

Just keep repeating, "The paperwork is in the mail...."

In the meantime I'll hope "the clouds dissolve and the sky turns blue" (Don McLean).

More of just a heads up. For anyone that was a fan of the HBO series Band Of Brothers and The Pacific, the third series from the same makers starts today on Apple+ (you get 3 free months w/ Prime...or a Samasung w/ FireTV. )

About to sit down and watch the first 2 episodes. Been looking forward to this for a while!

Just finished binge watching this series...I thought the two Tuskegee Airmen who were POWs sounded familiar. It turns we were involved with a function with the USAF Thunderbirds, and my wife went. It was an outdoor function at some rich guys private airstrip, and she struck up a conversation with an older gentleman and he invited her to sit at his table. I was busy elsewhere, but this man was there with his wife and several other couples who all turned out to be real Tuskegee Airman. She had a great time, and they all signed a small US flag for her, which is now one of her prized possessions. She still talks about that night today, and how much she enjoyed their company.

I looked at the flag last night and lo and behold it was signed by Alexander Jefferson and Richard Macon, two Tuskegee Airman who were shot down and captured, and whose story was told as part of the last couple of episodes of Masters of the Air.

Nutritional labeling should also include a section for "What if I eat the whole package in one sitting".
No doubt. By the time I bother to look at the nutritional label, I'm already WAY past the war time rations it's based on! Heck, nothing is all that bad for you based on "suggested serving size." I'm 6'4, 230 lbs of mostly bulk. 3 friggin oreos isn't a serving I'd suggest.

MOUSEHUNT!

5 in 2 days, one I caught one live and tossed out the house this morning while trying to make morning coffee.

I happens really fast!

All started a couple days ago when while looked at her empty bowl from dinner on table in the morning and asked me "Are these mouse turds in my bowl?" as she was about to serve morning oats.

And they [turds] were, and they were also everywhere, window sills, sink, kitchen counters, flours container lids, under the sink, etc.

Mousehunt is on, but the cleanup is challenging.

These are Deer Mice, with white bellies, they carry Hantavirus*, it can kill you (35% mortality rate), which is counterproductive for the mouse, then you're no longer bringing fresh food into the house.

PS Anyone a fan of the movie?

Iris can barely keep up with the gophers and eats several a day, which is unreal, I don't even know how she catches them. I'm afraid she's gonna get chunky.

She comes in a bit late and sleeps in, typical teenager.

I'm tracking a package from an online order. Yesterday afternoon it left a town in Georgia, about five hours away. At this moment it is in Arkansas.

I hate that. I had a package arrive at the depot in the next county (completely normal) only to be taken to a facility in New Jersey for a day, then back to the same depot near me where it sat for a day before being delivered.

During the pandemic, we lost a PO, so it you sent a letter 20 miles away, it would have to 600 miles to get there. This is no dis at all on the PO, I'm a very big fan.
