So I've scored a new Guild. I'm not going to say what it is or how much I paid etc, until it's in my hands. It should be here by the end of the week. The first person to correctly guess what it is wins an invisible chocolate medal in an invisible envelope which will be mailed to you via imaginary mail. :lol:

Well, the 77 Carved listing ended a couple days ago but the BIN was $2000 and all 6 offers (including mine were declined) so I don't think this is it. I'm out of possible answers.

So maybe the late 1970’s Guild Starfire 4 in black from that shop in UK?

My S-300 being the first Guild I bought holds a very special place that no other guitar got even close to (well maybe M-75, but she's just intimidating as I'm not as good for her as I should be :mrgreen: ).

Wrong, wrong and wrong again. I do still have my eye on an S-300, but with the DiMarzio's. It's just still a little too pricey.

It's not that, but I did read that thread. There are a few guitars of interest in that auction which is taking place in June. I might hop a train and have an away day. Tell my girl, 'Oh, I'll take you away for a romantic evening.'. Then be like 'Oh, what do we have here? A vintage guitar auction? I never knew about that!? Maybe we should have a look.'. She'll know, but at least that way she'll think it's funny!
