You know, we could all have a bone to pick with you, Treemster. Of all the enabling you've done for us, how come you saved the best enabling -- for yourself?

I am, of course, just kidding. You totally worked for this one and you totally deserve it. Love that gold accented TRC. With all that extrgold, some might argue that it's even prettier than the pin. :D

It is, as the pin does not have that nice looking TRC!

Thanks for all the beautiful photos. There's just a few more than we (okay, I) need, some outdoor, natural light shots like you do with your '66 Starfire V. Oh yeah, and one with the '74 Blackfire.

Hey Tris!

Once again, congrats on that outstanding axe. But, I have a request:

If you don't mind, is there any chance to have some audio file, in order to listen what do you play and how she sounds? I'd love to... :D

Thanks in advance! And thanks for the photos, btw...

All the best,

B.

When you get ready for a refret, consider the gold "Evo" fretwire. It'll last longer than regular nickel silver, wont have the pinginess of SS, and will look killer with the gold hardware! 8)

I just had my X-170 done with it, and its all I use on my own builds.

I have a burgundy red VI from '74, myself, but I think that sunburst you have is the more beautiful of the two finishes!

I'm curious, now that you've had the guitar for a little while, how do you like playing it? What do you think of the sound of the pickups; the weight of the instrument; the comfort of playing standing and seated and the shape of the neck?

Huge props for scoring such a lovely VI !

Here's a pic of mine.

RedFire!!! She's a beauty, too!! Felix!! Woo-hoo!!! 8)

I really like playing the VI, because I have played and own a 74 IV and had a 66 V. But this VI is so far been great all around for what my playing needs... The neck feels great, smooth and luxuriously strong! Like a Lincoln Continental! :D  8) But my Blackfire has a faster neck, to me.  And that's standing up and sitting down. I love the Guildsby! It's unique and fun to use! The sound of the (gold) HB1s pickups to me, sounds very nice with the sweetness only a maple body give. Is your VI maple or mahogany? Comparing the sound to my Blackfire, Blackfire has a warmer tone. But the difference is what I like to have to choose from for whatever suits my moods.   :D

I'm using d'addarios 11 nickle on it right now on the VI. But I'm having thoughts of putting flat wounds on...what are you kind of strings are you using?

The VI is heavier than my Blackfire. I don't know the exact weight but I will soon find out. :)

I wonder how many other LTG member has a VI.....I know 4 so far, you, Jahn, kakerlak and me. 8)

Who else is in the club, y'all?

Thank you for the huge props Felix!!! :D And a BIG props to you also, how long have you had your VI?

And how do you like it? :D

Now that's saying something when you consider Larry just picked up this gorgeous SF-IV.

So what is it about the SF-VI that makes it so damn eye-catching? Is it the gold hardware? The pearl and abalone block inlays on an ebody fretboard? The Guildsby? All of the above?

I know, TF, but I fear I caught some sort of Guild SF fever!
