Excuse my ignorance, WTH is that?[/quote:2n1nk02k]

BTW, If you remember, TF, my fever started with a similar question when I asked you what those SG looking things were in your avatar.

That is a 2009 Duesenberg Starplayer TV Outlaw, with a P90 in the neck position and a humbucker in the bridge. I got an incredible deal on it from a dealer in Ireland. Currently it resides in the hands of a local friend of mine who is going to buy it because he's found he can't live without it. And I found Guilds! :D

RedFire!!! She's a beauty, too!! Felix!! Woo-hoo!!! 8)

I really like playing the VI, because I have played and own a 74 IV and had a 66 V. But this VI is so far been great all around for what my playing needs... The neck feels great, smooth and luxuriously strong! Like a Lincoln Continental! :D  8) But my Blackfire has a faster neck, to me.  And that's standing up and sitting down. I love the Guildsby! It's unique and fun to use! The sound of the (gold) HB1s pickups to me, sounds very nice with the sweetness only a maple body give. Is your VI maple or mahogany? Comparing the sound to my Blackfire, Blackfire has a warmer tone. But the difference is what I like to have to choose from for whatever suits my moods.   :D

I'm using d'addarios 11 nickle on it right now on the VI. But I'm having thoughts of putting flat wounds on...what are you kind of strings are you using?

The VI is heavier than my Blackfire. I don't know the exact weight but I will soon find out. :)

I wonder how many other LTG member has a VI.....I know 4 so far, you, Jahn, kakerlak and me. 8)

Who else is in the club, y'all?

Thank you for the huge props Felix!!! :D And a BIG props to you also, how long have you had your VI?

And how do you like it? :D

Hey, thanks for the great response and all the questions! My VI hasn't been getting the attention she demands lately, so I think I'll take this opportunity to do a re-string and reassessment and thus give you some answers soon.

I can tell you now, though, that she's Maple and has a wonderful neck. I haven't weighed her, but she's not a featherweight.

Here's one more pic in the meantime to show the Maple figuring.

Hey Treem. Hadn't been on the board in a while. Great to see you got the guitar you really wanted! The quilting takes the burst to another level altogether, really nice. Have a great time bonding with it!
