Never much liked goldtops until a year or so ago. Must come with age.

Saw this in a local shop on consignment, priced a little high (IMO) and didn't pull the trigger. Low-and-behold, two months later it shows up on CL for a much more reasonable price. Ahh, patience.

Pups replaced with Gibby 57 classics. Not bad. May have to splurge for the HB-1 set someday, just so you guys will think I'm cool. :)

Drum roll: (sellers pics still, will replace with my own eventually)

Way to go, Casey. I think with your two Guild solidbodies now, you don't need to have a pair of HB-1s to be considered cool ... although, having a Guild with HB-1s would make you cooler. :D

Well done Casey! Gorgeous gold top, congrats.... Coastie don't even think about it. You already have half the board jealous of your quilted burst and the HB1 equiped flamed one. A third one might start generating hatred....

Do ya know Mo, I'm reckoning that a tasteful sticker of some sort would look right nice on that Goldtop. Nothing Austintashus, and only one !

I'm thinking, something that evokes the '60's. Maybe something after the fashion of "Fresh Cream".

Nice - I really like Gator cases, I own a few and have been pleased. Well built and generally pretty inexpensive compared to others. Do you know if this will fit a '75 M-75 BB by any chance? The dimensions look like they will work, but its hard to tell without checking it out. I have the original case with mine, but it has seen some mileage and I would like to keep it in the present condition in case I ever want to sell. This would be a nice "carry-in" that I could use without further damaging the original HSC.

Alternatively, if anyone has any ideas about current production cases that fit a '70's BB, I would welcome recommendations.

Thanks
Craig

I can let you know tomorrow when I get it. If it will fit the Reissue then it will fit the 70's as my 70's and BBird both fit in a Blues 90 case, with the 70's model being just a tad smaller than the reissue in the body. So if the Reissue will fit in this gator case then I feel confident the 70's model will as well. Will report back tomorrow after delivery, but I am almost certain it will work.

Craig, if that case is a good fit on a BB then an M75 will fit.

My M72 fits my BB cases perfectly.

well the bad news is the case does NOT fit the BBird Reissue! I got it in earlier and unpacked it and tried it out and it is too small for a BBird. If you really want to make it fit you can, but it is very snug and will require letting the case adjust to fit the guitar. I am going to try to sell it and find a better fitting case if possible.
