BD, I have my preferences set to display 20 entries per page. When I'm not logged in it defaults to LESS posts per page. So if I'm not logged in, it will show 2 pages. Once I log in and my preferences take over..... there is only ONE page. Is this what you're talking about???

No, not exactly because I can view any number of pages on other threads. it's only this one about "hearing the difference". Once I make this reply it will take me to the last page. But if I try to go to the 2nd page or back to the third at anytime I can only get to the first page. So as long as this thread keeps going I'll be able to boost my post count. LOL

I'm gonna be a contrarian here. While I fully agree that new strings sound better, they only sound great for a few days, then they sound old again. I don't think it's worth the expense and effort.
If I have something important coming up, yes, new strings, but otherwise, I'll leave 'em on for years.
I should say my hands don't sweat much, and I always wipe strings down and clean with rubbing alcohol occasionally.
I should add I only play electric guitars; acoustics are a different story.
