Naah... the typical Guild handwriting makes a capital "R" (with the overlapping 1 from the zip code) look like "rG."
Whoever writes the labels for Guild probably studied penmanship at the same school where they teach doctors how to scrawl on prescription pads.

What used to be a JF-65 is now called F-55, so the model is already in production since a few years in Oxnard.
Pricing is tough, though. The only F55s for sale or already sold are brand new, and they're up around $3,500. I would hope the single Westerly JF65 that sold on reverb for $1,500 was an anomaly -- should be worth more than that!

The F50 (not F50R) is pretty close to the same guitar, I think. A couple of those went for around $2,700, but that was the best price showing, and it went down from there. Good luck!

Cougar…The jumbo has a really beautiful rounded back. I’m thinking of taking the guitar to a guy my cousin knows who runs a stolen auto chop shop and having him break down the guitar and sell off the parts. Should net me a fortune. I’m figuring $1700 for the back, maybe $800 for the front, $500 for the neck, $300 for the pick guard and $89.95 per Grover tuning peg.

Parts. The black market. That’s where the REAL money is in used instruments.

Not selling the guitar. Just wanted to get a ballpark idea of what the puppy was worth. Pretty sure that it sold for about $350 back in 1987 when somebody was nice enough to fullfill my birthday wish.

Wish I had the same luck on my other investments. Bought stock in Enron, Blockbuster and a company that manufactured phone booths back in the 90s.

I’ll never take stock tips from an Azerbaijani cab driver again.…and if you run into Bakhtiyar, tell him I’m still pretty angry.

You're lucky, I'm pretty sure I got her Mom ... Vintage Burst.
Bruce…

There’s a joke here somewhere….but I’m not about to mess with it.
