Question about tuners on New Hartford 12-strings

The rule for these types of tuners, take the string about 2 pegs past the one it will be wound around. put a 90 degree bend in it and then cut it so there is maybe 1/2 or a little less of the right hand bend. This goes down the center hole and the rest wrapps around the peg. 2 pegs past the one you want should give you 2-3 wraps when it's up to tune. That's the way I've done my Fenders and old Klusons for years.
