Not to be political either but the out of state taxation w/o representation argument isnt on the mark. You might want to see the Wayfair case. Sales taxes are state by state.The constitutional issue is "nexus" with a state sufficient to permit the imposition of taxes on the residents of another state. The Supreme Court is the arbiter of constitutionality. Not trying to be provocative; just suggesting the issue is a different one. I dont know anyone who likes paying taxes, including me.So is out of state taxation without representation… but we’re not going to get political, right?!
I will agree with Sandy that not all buyers who want to contact you are scammers. Some just want to have a conversation, ask a lot of questions, and get a sense of the seller is on the level that are difficult to do through messaging systems. I welcome the opportunity to talk directly to someone interested in what I have to sell. I do typically have them send me their phone number though.
