I managed to finally find one. The black version is impossible to find. Long story. I had a new saddle installed and LR baggs element put in. Amazing guitar ! Cheers all. Now only a jumbo on my wish list 😂🤦🏻‍♂️

The seller said he got 12 responses from around the country.
And apparently he didn't respond to any of them. I hope you didn't give him a tip! 😡

But well done! I'm sure you'll be ready to open the next Woodstock if they call.....

I bet those 12 from around the country were all from LTG!

I know I'm showing my ignorance here, but are there any spec differences between the Richie Havens D40 and the regular D40 (aside from the availability of dual pick guards, IIRC)?

I do love a black dreadnought.

Don't forget to stock up on polishing clothes to take care of those pesky fingerprints. ;)

I don’t think there is any difference. But I like how they were built. I’ve got a natural one and this one, plus always wanted all black guitar

The Tacoma made D-40 Richie Havens model had a Sitka spruce top and the D-40 Bluegrass Jubilee an Red Spruce top. And the RH has the Richie Havens signature on the TRC.
Same in NH for those two models.
But NH had also a D-40 Standard which had a sitka top but different cosmetic appointments.

The black is really striking. Something very mysterious and Johnny Cash about a black guitar. My only gripe with Guild is that they often partially cover the wider rosettes with the pickguard. On this model I would like to see the entire rosette to contrast the black.
