That is the album version, very cleverly lip synced or later by someone with editing skills, but I'm pretty sure this is the radio version that was played a million times.

My band covered all the KInks stuff in the 60's and then into the 70's. They were on par with the Beatles from my perspective. Different but a huge impact and and what a duration!

A great band early on. And they stayed with it, as the songwriting evolved and grew steadily. I saw them several times in the "Lola" era. Incredible catalog of songs.

Never really a big VH fan but Ice Cream Man showed a fun-er side of them.

I remember hearing Eruption for the first time on the radio. it made an impression.

Regardless of Eruption, I always liked Eddie's sense of phrasing when playing more in the pentatonic genre, but just about anything he ever did was magic. From Panama to Thriller, he's quite an incomparable guitar player. Early EVH is some pretty solid Rock.

The Kinks were definitely not "underrated" here in the UK. They were, and still are, held in high esteem and revered as one of the best groups of the 1960's, Ray Davies too as one of the UK's finest songwriters.
He still appears regularly on music shows here, "Waterloo Sunset" being a true UK classic.
