With thanks to all who berated me into buying this Ct. made guitar, I offer my thanks. She arrived Thursday while I was in South Carolina, and I had to wait until Friday nite to get acquainted.

Here's the box she came in.

All I can say about the sound, is that, an Angel came to sing at my house. If it's this loud now I can hardly wait twenty years to hear it then. Everything else I own pales in comparison. Although they all have there own unique sound, the DV-4 bright, and twangy, the 72 more mellow, and the GAD-25 rich, this jumbo has a sound all it's own. It may well become my favorite. I'm glad y'all made me buy it.

By the way, Richard, that's a great looking hearth!
Did you have a hand in it?
Either way, I couldn't let that one go by without a word of praise (I'm just wired that way).

Now, back to your regularly scheduled programming....the new F50R!

Enjoy,
Joe

Joe,
My part in the hearth is making the mortgage payments. :D

I am surprised to see how little bubble wrap they put in that box! Or did you take some out before you took the picture? In either case, I am glad you chose the CT F50R and that it arrived safe and sound. With all this talk and purchasing of rosewood jumbos lately, it seems like more people are in the club than out. :D

Now you guys need to stop it with the F50R threads, I'm building up a temperature...
It's sublime Richard. And I can only guess the sound?....

Nice axe. And, yes, an F-50 R is on my short list along with a D-55. Then I can retire. Of course I probably won't be able to afford retirement after those investments. :D

If it ships in a Guild box, there are usually cardboard inserts inside to immobilize the neck part of the case, negating the need for bubble wrap in that area. Right, Scratch?

RWS,

That is truly a beautiful guitar. I'm jealous, in fact and F50R has always been on my short list....really. It looks like you've gotten yourself a beauty. Congratulations to you sir, I hope she gives you a lifetime of playing enjoyment. And thanks for the pictures.
