Color me impressed. She started out in the talking about herself phase, mentoning she had experienced depresssion early on in life. As I told Shelby, if I ever have to be depressed, I hope I'm depressed like Laura. She was so peppy and excited, polished, poised and mature for a youngster. She was full of energy and for sure won the judges over when she said such kind things about them all.

I really hope she goes a long way.

I missed the show but just watched Ms. Littleton's segment on YouTube. She is fabulous! I hope she does well in the competitions. I'm not sure how the show works, but I am guessing there will be a winner.

Does anyone know how many weeks of competition there will be?
Will it be live-ish each week or has it already been filmed to the conclusion?

Laura is back in Dickson after 7 weeks in CA last fall and 6 or 7 more in January and February. That leads me to think it has all been recorded. Also, she did not know she was gonna be on last night until yesterday morning. The show and /or her are great at keeping secrets - if they do know the outcome?

The shows that are on now are recorded - they air the blind auditions, battle, knock-out and playoff rounds as pre-recorded shows.

The live finale starts on May 15 - that's when audience voting determines the winner. I suspect that if Ms. Littleton was in CA for filming into February, she's gone pretty deep into the show.

(I know this because The Voice is "must-see TV" in our house according to SWMBO).
