Mr. Broes really gave us some great insight on setting up the Franz! Thank you kind sir!

Yes, there is a maddening inconsistency (for the collectors), but I think the fact that no two are exact twins is what makes Guilds so fun. Each individual instrument is truly an individual. I like noticing and embracing the quirks a lot more than the rigid uniformity of most post-CNC stuff, but that might just be me.

You got that right- heck the block inlays on my '53 are actually crooked- obviously hand done and probably before Guild had real quality controls- I actually like the guitar more for that little quirk/ feature

Here's some bridge pickup on the battered '62 I love so dearly.

That is some great playng & tone Walter (singing too). I'll be sending a clip to a friend who plays in that style as well - I'm sure he'll love it. You might have just cost me some money by selling me on a Franz equipped Guild...Great pickup info as well, thanks.

What amp are you using - Tweed Bassman? Straight in?

Thanks Zelja. Headstrong tweed 3X10 Bandmaster replica (they no longer build them, but plenty of others do) with this in front of it.

Very cool! 10s don't get enough love - I am a fan due to my '64 Vibrolux Reverb. I read that Noel Gallagher was using a 3 x 10 Bandmaster clone (a Clark I think). Certainly a bit different with the speaker arrangement but it sure works for you.
