Hey fellow Guild lovers,
Because of the type of playing I've been doing over the past couple years, I'm considering trading my 1971 Guild X-500 at Guitar Center in MA for a Telecaster. I hate to do it, but the X-500 just isn't practical in a live (loud) electric setting.
It's a sunburst with minimal wear, but it does have a couple small cosmetic issues. It plays great and it sounds fantastic.
The store uses a "Vintage Team" in CA to determine the value of these types of trades and it's done by the store manager taking digital photos and getting on the phone and discussing it's condition over with people in CA.
I wonder what they'll try to "tell me" it's worth.
Any thoughts?
