Yeah, Phil. I saw that on Ebay as well but had just bought my DV52. I can't go too fast you know, or the wife will KNOW I'm obsessed. Congrats. The sunburst looks very much like my Gibson J45, which is (yes I will say it) a beauty;-)

Hojo,
I'm looking at your signature and I don't think you can surprise your wife with one more guitar. She already knows you're afflicted.

And speaking of J45s, my '69, which I bought new in 1970, was also a beauty and the burst looked a lot like this D50. I wonder where it is today. Hmmmm.....

Cheers,
Joe

:D That is a Beautiful burst! and Yea, its funny, I actually THOUGHT of Yours Firebird.......I remember looking at Yours when my D25 was being repaired...........and you told me of all the repairs yours has had........and how it was worth EVERY BIT!
BEAUTIFUL GUITARS!!! the burst from that era.were MAGIC!
I seen one here in Australia, a 1980 D35, same beautiful burst! ( and the label inside had the model # and serial# and "AUST" ( I assume for Australian export?) )

I think I've seen one of those before. Great stuff.

Wow the body on that D55 does look exactly the same. Are there pictures of it posted elsewhere on the forum?

The D-50 SB and I have been spending a lot of time on the back porch this weekend and I must say things are going very well.
