Walt, I do believe you’ve acquired perfection right there. Just beautiful in every way - Many Congrats!2007 F-47MC Ice Tea Burst?
This just received from dealer in Florida through Reverb. Only a couple small marks on the sound board and the case is perfect. Maybe a closet Queen. The plastic protection on the pick guard is still on it. SN TK143009 Wednesday May 23 2007
Restrung this morning with Martin .0115 custom silk and steel and being played today. My first Maple Guild / any brand / and I really like the sound. So different from my Rosewood and HOG bodied guitars.
I know you posted this last year, James, but I was just looking through the thread and saw this again. That Framus is a marvel. I'm blown away. What's the back wood on that, by the way, James? And, also, where the heck did you find a Framus drum head (is that original)?
Just amazing. That looks like it was a LOT of work to get back into shape. But, a labor of love. Do you play banjo?
Thanks for sharing those pix earlier!
How is "Patches" doing, Brad?!
Got a "half time" deal for next year, then totally done 5/25, although paid until 8/25. Half the course load, in only two days, half my salary, 403B match still in place, less required meetings.Tick, tick, tick, Jeff...
Still on track?
Nice! Makes me want a D-30 even more now.I did a little fingerpicking on the D30 this morning.
Boy, that Contemporary's soundboard has darkened/aged nicely over the years.Took the CO1 and A50 flattop out for a string change and cleaning. Spent the day noodling on some Neil Young double drop D tunes. Boy these are fun little guitars that can get surprisingly loud!
Yeah, both tops on these are beautifully darkened to a nice golden orange color. The CO1 cedar is especially nice. They were like that when I got them, so wonder if they are actually lightly stained.Boy, that Contemporary's soundboard has darkened/aged nicely over the years.
I did a little fingerpicking on the D30 this morning. Pardon the background cartoons.
The secret is out! Now we'll all be trying it.I see what you did there, reversing the capo to play a drop D a step up
