I was unable to upload the photo to photobucket on my phone, but here is a great video. Jimmy Smith in 1969, featuring Eddie McFadden on his very early (NY?) CE-100. Go to 0:31 for the first visual of Eddie.

A CE-100 just like this one was recently for sale on ebay.

Go to 07:55 for a good look at the guitar and a good listen to the tone of this single pickup jazz box beauty! Similarities with the guitar on ebay: Visible rivets on the harp tailpiece; Black stove top knobs; No silkscreen on PG; Square (not rounded) inlays on the fretboard; Simple "G" inlay. The tuners look to be different. Eddie McFadden has the F-holes covered with tape to inhibit feedback, so it is hard to tell if they are bound. Same guitar?

Also, I love the sound of Hard Bop organ trios. Thanks for posting!

That's it...thanks, Ralf! I love how he put tape over the soundholes to reduce feedback. I would never do that, but it's pretty cool. I tried to get Doug's Plugs a while ago, but sadly they were no longer making that product as of my last inquiry. I don't really need them at this time, but they would be cool to have just in case.

Pretty mellow music - I was expecting something much heavier given the photo!

Maybe these images have been posted before but Bobby Womack sure seemed to like his Guild accoustics!

Upside down truss rod covers are taboo around here, so how do we feel about upside down pickguards? :nightmare:

Was wondering whether the chap with the tommy-gun was Julian Lennon, though a little too young I guess...the track almost sounds like him as well...er, at least to me...

Does anyone know what Bobby Womack's guitar is in the second picture (and I think the first one as well)?

F-47 in the second picture. The first image is his F-50 but the pick guard is showing more contrast. Perhaps an effect of a lens filter.
