Bluesy, nice to hear that you have it in you to get heavy! The hammer ons early on were reminiscent of a Deep Purple tune called Burn. Do a version of that and you will be my hero forever. Strange request from a jazzer, eh?

While I never cared too much about Blackmore, Deep Purple ranks high in my all time favorites. Love Burn.
My two favorite albums: Stormbringer and Come Taste The Band (with Tommy Bolin).

And no, I don't find it strange that you enjoy it too as a "Jazzer". I love Jazz too.
I'm just glad you're not one of these snobs (unfortuntely too prominent in the jazz "milieu") that look down to anything NOT jazz. ;)
