It arrived today safe and sound. I was so worried as it was dropped off at a UPS store without a case and left to them to fully pack. High risk situation! This might have been the best packing I have ever seen. It took 30 minutes to unwrap it! This is what it looked like after I took it out of the box (and there was padding around this inside the box):
The guitar looks pretty much unplayed. Some lacquer checking on the base side of the nut and the base side of the fretboard above the soundboard but nothing else to note. Given the eBay photos were horrible and it has been without a case since it left the factory I wasn’t sure what to expect. I tuned it up and it has good action and no noticeable immediate issues. I purchased a Guild case and had that waiting so it has a safe home. Initial thoughts are really good but I need more time with it to get a feeling for it‘s sound and such.
As Ralf noted, this is definitely the guitar used in the Guild photos of this model. Here is a photo of the pickguard from the guild website:
here is the photo of this guitar‘s pickguard. It is a match
Here are some photos. All I did was wipe it down and tune it up. Ready to go!
Plenty of saddle left!
