I am seeking someone that can tell me about my Guild X79 guitars. I have one that has a very low serial number, is in pristine condition, built in 1981, I believe
You have first dibs on it when it's time to go.You know I want that.
DrumBob, If you do buy one, please do a review on the build quality and playability of it.The Chinese are now making counterfeit copies of the X-79. What will they copy next? For $260, I just might buy one. I certainly don't want to spend $1500+ on a real one.

I think I got the modification with a thicker body and strato-shaped cutouts for the arm and belly like yours. I ended up with the JJ French version (far left). Has anyone else come across such modifications? Didn't find much information about it.
