Well now gentlemen, what a surprise to see a post about Guild guitars turn into a gender-specific chat about Scandinavians.

But: I've been married for 25 years now to my (yes, blonde and blue-eyed) partner from Oslo, and my otherwise Canadian children are both going to university in Norway. Once those Viking genes get a hold, it's very difficult to turn them loose again.

Cheers all,

John Kidder

A BA from a Scandinavian U is like a PhD from an American U.

U Bergen is like a story book fable. U oslo is like the cutting edge of all things modern. Tromso is northern lights. Don't know about the others.

In some individual cases I think the BA from Scandanavia is FAR more intellectually superior to the PHD from the United States! :p

Hello Guys!

I hear you talk about Sweden and the Swedish girls. I actually live in Stockholm/Sweden and my girlfriend is the most beautiful girl I've ever seen  Nothing beats the look of a blond Swedish girl

Welcome G.O, I 'm also a big fan of Guild 12-stringers, I have a JF-55-12 2000 that sounds just amazing!

Howdy Ab! What part of Sweden do you like in? Anywhere near Malmo? If so, next time I am in Copenhagen, Denmark maybe you can slide over for a jam! We can compare girlfriends! LOL! Ya know, I was actually talking about all Scan babes but I have to say that the Danish girls are the prettiest. Problem is they are also the most cold hearted! Hey, I guess with looks like that, they can be! LOL! By the way, I love Scan flags. I think they are so classy. My fave is the Norwegian flag............perfect colors....!

JF-55's are awesome. Weren't they renamed F-512 or something like that?

Actually, F-512 was the original name. The -512 was the rosewood model, the -412 was identical in deluxe appointments but was the maple body.

Ever hear the expression "Hotter than Dutch love"? Here in Grand Rapids, Michigan we have a large Dutch population, lots of blonde haired blue eyed beauties (I married one).

Hmmm...my Dutch wife from GR is a brown hair brown eyed beauty! Perhaps that's why we don't frequent Russ'

Original name? I thought Fender gave those designations? No?

Model designations

Hello G.O.

No, the JF model designation was introduced in 1987, which was 9 years before Fender bought the company. However, Fender did change it back to F-512 and F-412 in 2002.

Sincerely,

Hans Moust

No. I meant if Fender applied the "F" designation to the guitars? I figured it was appropriate since "F"-ender bought out Guild? So the "F" was used prior to 1987? Interesting. My JF-65 is 1992 and my JF-30 is 1998.
