And by the way, this is not the place to ask whether or not you should get another Guild, or which Guild you should get. The answer to the first question is always "yes" and to the second question is "get them both". joan

same thing on the Larriveè forum, the Triumph forums, and any other "brand loyal" forum i belong to. i do believe that is why we cotton to certain places and things--voracious loyalty. :)

Dear Qvart,
Smile when you say that, Son! Oh wait... you did.

Welcome aboard, Milo. Don't worry about starting at mile zero, I'm sure we'll get a little more "mileage" out of ya.

Post well. Post often.

...and LTG is a karass.

Welcome Milo!

I considered "karass," but thought "granfalloon" was funnier - and maybe more accurate! ;) ;)

hi LTGers,
new girl on the block. i purchased my 1977 D25-M a few weeks ago,
after many years of Guild lust, and am thrilled to be one of the
westerly kids.

i know you want images, but the guitar is already lined up for
some bench work with one of my favorite luthiers. when the guit
comes home to sing i will post photos for you.

i have loped around this forum for a couple of weeks and have to
offer up my congratulations for etiquette, pride, positve attitude
and general knowledge. i belong to a couple of other guitar forums
and a bunch of motorcycle forums. i have to say i really like what i
see here.

not much else to offer, at this point, but wanted to offer a brief
intro and say hey. so hey!

milo

Welcome aboard, Milo. Hope your D-25 turns out great and meets your expectations. You're joining a rather extensive D-25 club, most of whom think it's the best thing since sliced bread. :)

Vintage solid body Fenders in the signature. A-good, you may get a Guild solid body in there someday.

Welcome to the nut house.

Hi Milo - great taste in guitars going by your collection (no Taylors  )

not a fan of Taylor's at all. played a bunch to hear if one
could possibly change my mind... and i am still
Taylor free.

I think I could go for another slice, especially if it's anything at all like my '79.

Pass the butter, please,
Joe

Milo, please forgive our many digressions into the world of Kurt Vonnegut.

Yes...sorry...I just happened to be reading Cat's Cradle when this thread started. My roommate came across a Vonnegut quote in a book he was reading and asked me what the quote was from. I wasn't sure and had to look it up, and that sent me off on another Vonnegut binge, which happens every few years. Knocked off Cat's Cradle, The Sirens of Titan, and God Bless You Mr. Rosewater this weekend. Now I'm reading Deadeye Dick. It won't end until I've gone through most of them for the umpteenth time.

As for veers, you never know where they'll lead:

"Peculiar travel suggestions are dancing lessons from God."

...and I was some of the mud that got to sit up and look around. Lucky me, lucky mud.

BTW, the book my roommate was reading was The Unlikely Disciple by Kevin Roose about his semester at Liberty University. I recommend it.

(I also reread Catch-22 last week. Don't get me started on that one!)

And if I keep going on this topic maybe we should revisit this thread. ;)
