@schoolie , congrats on the new F47. Like
@jeffcoop (whom I suspect got "mine"
), my F47 was
also banged, but at Kaufman Guitar Kamp at about three months old! Juicer in front of me spins his Epiphone-something backwards while getting up from his seat...never even got as much as a "sorry" just "Oh!" Wanted to KILL him, class looks at me afraid I'll punch him out! All that said, I cannot even find that mark today, so thats what New England Humidity does for you...Oregon has to be the same???
Mine does not have any added electronics, however under the bridge saddle I have two "slices" of what looks like masonite taking up space for an undersaddle p/u. I got a new bridge blank from Guild before they closed, but to be honest the guitar is so loud I don't think there is any "decoupling between the bridge saddle and the top! I bring this up, as perhaps yours
also has the two shims, and maybe removing one will get the string height where you want it?
The twelve strings built at New Hartford had two truss rods plus a carbon fiber rod, but not the six strings, at least my D55 and F47 do not.
Again, congrats on what might be
the best Guild
