Man, that's a drag !!!!

I have used Pickguard Heaven before with good results

Link: https://pickguardheaven.com/

I would make a claim with the shipping company and see if you can get a new pickguard paid for by them.

Best of luck
Thanks for the tip! I'm having a back/forth with them. I think it'll work.

It's just black plastic, no sweat, doesn't even look beveled.

In the meantime, I would probably get in a lot of trouble with this, but WELL AWAY FROM THE GUITAR!

Do all EMG equipped guitars require a massive pickguard? Every (very few total) EMG S-28x guitar I've found online has a pickguard like the one in the OP. I don't know much about them.

The replicant is done and on it's way from pickguardheaven.com (thanks tonepoet!). When I install it there will be an NGD and NPGD! Can't wait.

Nope. See my Detonator II with EMGs.

Thanks. Is it just an aesthetic decision to cut out the front rather than the back? I've seen it called a "swimming pool"?
Swimming pool routes allow any combination of pickups to be put in any position. They are probably cheaper and quicker to produce, too.

What makes this guitar heavier than comparable S-28x's? The S-281 in GAD's review is 8.2 lbs., mine is 9.5! I'm assuming the body is poplar like GAD's. The neck is maple. Thanks

Black plexiglass, according to Pickguard Heaven. To match, they needed to polish the edges, which cost extra. Standard service is to sand the edges only, apparently.
