When you're making stuff up, it's hard to know when to stop "improving" and just call it done. I never did come up with a "final" version, but, one good enough, I think.

Drop D Rhythm

Just do a "Save as" or "Save Link As.."

It's starts in Dm. Let me know if you wanted something in a major key instead.

Oh, no. That would be quite close to that DADGAD tuning thingy that all the hipsters and fingerstyle guys use. Can't go there.

Right. You don't see classical players using none of those lowbrow tricks.
I don't either and rumors of my closet envy of those who do have never been proven..

I'd buy a maple Guild before the Mrs. notices there's an empty slot.

Logic ain't got nuthin' to do with it.

Hey,

If you have any specific questions about the Blueridge 183a, I have one, and can compare it to the Orpheum I have, or anything else you'd like

Best,

Chris

Sure Sidd let her rip . I just got going back back over reviews and vids . Found Pono guitars as a new one to me they sound good .

I was mostly comparing blueridge and the Guild f30r and f47r I'm staying rosewood B/S . I have a BR180a and love it .

So I'm hooked on Aldi tops . The only triple O I played and had for a few days was the Guild Gad f130rce it was pretty good but I had an issue with it .

Hey guys does the f30r have an Aldi top option from NH ?

Guild is unbelievably balanced but I do love my over tones my BR shreds out . I know I need to play the F30 and F47 but knowing how bad vids are from being poorly recorded , over processed , down right cheating by hiding a cord coming from the built in pickup while hi lighting the mics ...... Man that sounds good lol

One worry would be to similar a sound to the 180a from the br283a I'm considering . The BR's sure do ring for some time before fading out . I also got hots for a sunburst this time around lol ... I need a shrink

Ok so yeah let me here likes dislikes and as always audio if possible. Would love to hear the two side by side .

Thanks ;)

The F-30R Standard has a sitka top. The F-30 Aragon has an Adi top but mahogany B&S. The limited-edition GSR F-30 could be had in rosewood, but I believe it was topped with bearclaw sitka.

So, the short answer is "no", with regard to an Adi/Rosewood F-30, unless I am missing something.

For that combination, you have to jump to grand orchestra-size, and the F-47R. Here is the size difference (F-30 on the left, F-47R on the right).

That was the exact combination of guitars that I was shooting for before the demise of NH. I only had the budget for one of them, so I chose to go with the F-30 Standard because it had a larger 1 3/4" nut and slightly wider string spacing at the saddle (as compared to my 1972 F-30). I figured that the U.S. built F-47R would eventually continue on at Oxnard, so I could still pick one up one of those later. I did not get the same feeling about the U.S. built F-30 Standard and F-30R Standard. My gut feeling is that the new MIC Westerly Collection will now fill the niche for those that can't afford one of the Guild Traditionals. Time will tell.

Hmmm I'm just getting angry lol I was reading a review where the F47 is better suited to strumming then finger picking . You all feel the same about ?
My Blueridge is fine for strumming so a picker is what I want but I feel I'd like it to have something with clarity and balance which the f30 and guild in general seems to offer but also I'd like some overtones . I love the bell like overtones of the BR .
As of yet I've not heard any OT's in the guilds but I realize I just have not heard them up close and in person let alone played like I do not saying I'm good but hearing some others say Andy McKee shred a bit on one ? Or someone like that . ;)

I don't have any qualms about finger picking my F47R. My cedar topped Walden gives a bit more volume with less effort, but that's probably the difference between cedar and Adirondack tops. On the flip side of that coin, I would bet the Guild can get louder when really attacked. What about the Doyle Dykes youtubes ? It's the same guitar, with a cutaway and maple back and sides ? It's just a bit thinner, but the top and bracing and other dimensions are the same.
