I think you provided the wrong link there, Joe... I couldn't find the right one either but I remember it. Happens to me a lot lately

Stained Glass Bluegrass - a gospel bluegrass band

Bluegrace - another gospel bluegrass band

I always thought it would be cool to say "Howdy folks, we're "Pickin' Grass and Takin' Names"

Y'all are so clever... I love it!

BTW, the link was correct, it just took them a while to veer away and degenerate into silliness.

Wait, are you all not doing real names? You're making them up? Those two are real, as is Starvation Army. Too bad - I'm a lot funnier when I don't have to be original. ;)

When we lived in St. Paul, MN there used to be a name, I'm not making this up, Jack Knife and the Sharps. Never heard them play, so who knows if they were any good or not. They used to play in dinner clubs in White Bear Lake, or that vicinity.

Back in the seventies Family bands were very in vogue.

I have a brother in-law named Rod, so I thought it would be really cool to have a band named Hot Rod and the family. The hook is that all the family members are in-laws.

Was it one the old thread that someone used the name, "Free Beer" as a band name?
I would like to see that up on the Marque.
"Free Beer appearing nightly!"

Free Beer was an old skate rock band (Tommy Guerrero, from Powell&Peralta fame).

Band names are tough. ;)
